This month we welcomed Gail Bushell who is a “Fused Glass Artist”.  Gail informed us she had gone to University and gained a BA Honours degree in Applied Art.  Gail uses advanced fusing techniques, to produce high quality unique fused glass artworks.  Gail told us she had a studio at the bottom of her garden in Sudbury, with a kiln, where she creates her beautiful pieces of glass.  Gail also holds various workshops in her studio. Gail’s work is much sought after in East Anglia and she was approached by Ely Cathedral to make stained glass for the Ely Cathedral Museum.

For our April Meeting on the 10th April in Polstead Village Hall at 7.30pm, we are holding an “Open Meeting”. Our speaker will be Lynne Mortimer from the Eastern Daily Press giving us a talk on “Life and Laughs of a Local Journalist”.  £2 for visitors to include tea and cake.
