Polstead WI Meeting July 2017

Instead of our usual venue of Polstead Village Hall, the members all met at Assington Barns, and enjoyed a very interesting evening with Matthew Long who with his partner runs “Assington Country Kitchen”.  Matthew has been a chef for thirty-five years and started at the Colchester Institute when he was fifteen years old.  He now trains chefs and oversees various functions.  Matthew demonstrated preparing two platters for us, one using various salads and the other using camembert cheese wrapped in puff pastry.  We all thoroughly enjoyed tasting the platters which were delicious.  Highly recommended!

We are looking forward to our
